 &lt;/span&gt;The northern hemisphere is feeling the cold.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;The southern hemisphere is feeling the heat.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Managing your time can feel very difficult and frustrating in extreme weather.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Rather than thoughts of time management, let’s see how to budget our energy so that our time feels more productive.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Are we doing things that other people require of us?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;If we earn our living, then often (not always) the answer is yes.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;What else do we do?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;We do family things, household things……&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:Arial"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;Everything we do takes time and energy. But I do, so a wonderful walk by canals this weekend was great for relaxing, having fun and busting stress.  No loud noise, no phones, no business talk, no diaries.  Refreshing- and as my last month's (yes, it is now August!) newsletter suggested, I was able to delete a number of emails and get to the serious stuff.  Nothing bad happened because I let go for a few days!  &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;    &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;What do you wish to achieve and how do you do so? As we know, different methods work for different people.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;One time we discussed breaking your project down into small steps.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;We also discussed setting a kitchen timer for a fifteen minute interval.&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;This time let’s try another method of achieving: visualizing and counting backwards.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:Arial"&gt; How should your end result look?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;What does your project look like- to you- when it is complete?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;For example, what does your desk top look like when it is perfect for you?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;How does your kitchen cabinet have to look to satisfy your needs?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;What does the report look like when it has been completed and then submitted?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Are you able to visualize any of this?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;How did you make it all happen?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Can you count back the final 2-3 steps you took to accomplish it all?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;And, to get to those steps, what others did you have to make?&lt;span style="mso-spacerun:yes"&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;What actions, and how long did each take you to reach this state of ‘done’?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:Arial"&gt; &lt;/span&gt;&lt;b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:16.0pt;font-family:Arial"&gt;Monthly Tip&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-GB"&gt; What exactly is your goal, and why?&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;For example, do you want to make lots of money?&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Why?&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;To have it in the bank, to use it for something in particular?&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;The reason makes a difference to your thinking and motivation.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Is it the money or the object that is the goal?&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="" lang="EN-GB"&gt; Is your goal written down someplace?&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;How is it defined?&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Be specific, be realistic, be honest.&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Is it weight loss?&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;How many kilos/pounds?&lt;span style=""&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;Is there a particular reason for it- health, energy, basic good eating habits?
